How Much Can You Get?

One of the first questions people ask after learning about pre-settlement funding is how much money they can get. The honest answer is: it depends on your case. But we can give you a clear framework for understanding what determines your funding amount and what to expect from ClaimBridge.

What Determines Your Amount

Your case's expected settlement value

This is the most important factor. We estimate what your case is likely to settle for based on the type of injury, the severity, the court venue, your attorney, and comparable outcomes in similar cases. Your advance will be a percentage of this estimated value to provide meaningful financial relief while ensuring there's sufficient equity remaining for your attorney's fees, medical liens, and your take-home amount at settlement.

The strength of liability

Cases with clear, well-documented liability support larger advances because the likelihood of a successful settlement is higher.

Insurance coverage

The defendant's insurance policy limits define the ceiling of what can realistically be collected. A strong case against a defendant with limited coverage has a different funding profile than the same case against a defendant with substantial coverage.

How far along your case is

Cases that are further developed with medical treatment completed, discovery underway, settlement negotiations approaching typically qualify for larger advances because the outcome is more predictable and the timeline to resolution is shorter.

Existing liens and advances

If you already have medical liens or prior funding advances attached to your case, these reduce the available equity. We won't fund an advance that would leave you with little or nothing at settlement.

How to Think About the Right Amount

We encourage every plaintiff to request only what they genuinely need to cover essential expenses. Every dollar you advance has a repayment cost. A smaller advance means more money in your pocket when your case settles. We'd rather you receive what you actually need and keep more of your settlement than take the maximum possible advance amount.

What We Show You Before You Commit

Before you sign anything, ClaimBridge provides a written breakdown showing the exact amount you'll receive in your bank account, plus the total you'd owe if your case settles at various timelines all the way through our 24-month repayment cap. You'll see the full cost picture before making your decision. There are no surprises and no hidden charges anywhere in our process.

The Bottom Line

Your funding amount depends on your case's strength, expected settlement value, and existing obligations. We encourage you to take only what you need, and we show you the complete cost before you commit. Our goal isn't to maximize the advance. It's to provide the right amount of relief so you can focus on your recovery and your case.
